Saranda is the practical pickup point for Himarë when you arrive from Corfu (CFU) or the southern coast, because Saranda Port, the ferry terminal and the SH8 road line up into one transfer. Saranda to Himarë is 50 km / about 70 minutes; Tirana Rinas Airport to Himarë is 200-233 km / about 3.5 hours via the Llogara Tunnel. Direct Corfu-Himarë sailings are foot-passenger only, so drivers take the Corfu-Saranda vehicle ferry and collect a car in Saranda, then drive north past Borsh, Lukovë, Qeparo and Porto Palermo to Himarë.
